Recently, construction workers found a small dog sleeping on a building site. And the way he was sleeping was both heartbreaking and super cute at the same time.
A hospital is not just for humans
It’s not uncommon for people to go to a hospital when they need help.
Suzette Hall, founder of dog rescue Logan’s Legacy, assumes the little dog she found here all alone knew that too.
„He just turned up there. There was no one around,“
hall told The Dodo.
The little dog wandered into a restricted hospital area one night where renovations were being carried out.
Construction workers found the little rascal the next morning, but had absolutely no idea where he had come from.
Little four-legged friend is afraid of his own shadow
At first they tried to catch the dog, who was later christened Elliott. But without success.
The little furry friend was scared to death and immediately ran away as soon as anyone approached him.
After several unsuccessful rescue attempts, the construction workers decided to call in professional rescuers to help.
Until then, they did everything they could to make the dog feel as safe and secure as possible. They left him a blanket to curl up on.
They also gave him food and water. Finally, they found Hall’s contact details. They called Hall.
And she immediately dropped everything to help the little dog.
„When I walked into the room, he was lying on his blanket,“
hall told The Dodo.
Hall immediately saw that the dog was scared and shy. She knew she had to approach him carefully.
But she didn’t even get the chance.
„As soon as he saw me, he ran away. He hid everywhere. We didn’t find him for a while, but we knew he hadn’t run away.“
hall continued her story.
It was only by setting a trap with a hot dog that they managed to catch the dog and take him to the nearest vet.
It was no wonder that he was always hungry. The doctors found a worm, which the dog fortunately expelled on its own.
On the way to a new life
Elliott is now living with a foster family and has really blossomed here.
The shy dog has been forgotten – he has now been replaced by a cuddly and bright little rascal.
