When a stray cat raises her two kittens in a homeowner’s front garden, she has no objections.
After a short time, however, she notices health problems with one of the kittens. She organizes help and saves his life.
All four legs are deformed
The kitten’s hind legs do not stay under its body and are splayed out to the side. The front legs, on the other hand, appear strangely twisted.
Jennifer Csenge is the founder of Kitten Nuggets and immediately rushes to help when she is informed by the owner of the house about the little problem child.
She takes in the two kittens and makes sure that their courageous mom no longer has to live on the street.
Treatment enables him to lead a normal life
She names the two kittens Milton and Nash and organizes an urgently needed visit to the doctor for Milton.
It turns out that the deformed extremities cause further problems. Because they can’t support his weight, the little guy’s chest is being squeezed.
Fortunately, the situation is not hopeless.
To correct the position of his legs, Milton’s hind legs are tied together and his front legs are splinted.
After a short time, the first successes become apparent
„After my vet fitted the ankle cuffs to his hind legs and splinted his front legs, […] his chest rounded out on its own without a corset,“
says Jennifer.
But that’s not the only area where progress is being made. With his newfound stability, Milton is starting to stand on his paws.
By training his muscles and straightening his legs, his big moment comes after just three weeks of treatment.
The young cat moves almost normally, can play and walk on his paws. During his treatment, Nash has not left Milton’s side.
„Milton and Nash are the sweetest duo,“
says Jennifer.
Hopefully the two will find a forever home where they can be loved and get into mischief together.
