Recently, an open-air theater in Turkey gave a performance. That alone is neither unusual nor anything special.
What happened next, however, was something neither the actors nor the audience would have expected. Suddenly, the play took a surprising turn.
An animal rescuer enters the stage
One of the actors played a fall from a horse. Afterwards, he was so convincing in his portrayal of pain that one of the spectators rushed to his aid.
A dog trotted towards the allegedly seriously injured actor, wagging its tail. The dog is one of the countless strays that exist in Turkey.
It nudged the allegedly injured man, whimpered, licked his face and lay down on the irritated actor.
This tender rescue of the stray dog was so heart-warming that the audience and the actors were absolutely moved.
However, the spontaneous helper did not let go of the actor so quickly. As a result, the performance had to be interrupted for the time being.
The unexpected rescuer was convinced that the man lying on the ground needed no further help. The stray trotted off contentedly.
The search for the angel
The actor Numan stated that he was very touched by the animal’s selfless care. For him, the dog was like an angel who wanted to help him.
After the performance, the actor inquired with the people in the neighborhood. He learned that the stray dog was a regular visitor.
Since then, Numan has been going back to the place every day to look for his rescuer. He wants to keep searching until he finds the dog.
He would love to give him a new home – if he wants to settle down.
Kindness creates trust
In Turkey, it is good manners to be friendly towards stray animals.
This story shows that the stray dogs are obviously very grateful for the good treatment they receive.
Because this one stray, at least, obviously wanted to thank people for their kindness by becoming a helper himself in supposed need.
