A desperate dog lay helplessly by the side of her half-dead puppy.
But then a small miracle happened thanks to a man who became a real everyday hero.
At the beginning of December, a passer-by noticed the dog. She was sitting on the side of the road and the look on her face was heartbreaking. A small puppy was lying next to her, visibly fighting for its life.
The helper immediately contacted the animal welfare organization Animal Aid Unlimited. The animal heroes did not hesitate for a second and bravely set out to give the seriously injured puppy a chance of survival.
When they arrived at the scene, they too were presented with a shocking picture. The eyes of the caring mother dog were filled with pleas for help.
Could the little puppy be saved?
At first glance, the animal rights activists could see that the puppy had obviously been badly mistreated. Without their courageous intervention, the puppy would die. His condition was serious.
The little fellow’s only movement was a constant twitching all over his body. To end his critical condition, the helpers had to get the puppy to hospital as quickly as possible.
A lot of warmth helped to alleviate the cold. He was given an infusion to relieve his pain and stabilize him. The shock posed a particularly great danger.
A closer examination revealed no fractures, but after cleaning his little body, his helpers discovered several puncture wounds on his neck.
The puppy fell into a coma and it was doubtful whether he would survive the night. But despite all his worries, the little puppy opened his eyes the next morning.
The miracle of a morning
The Animal Aid Unlimited team rejoiced at this good news. It was a miracle that the puppy had actually survived the night.
He had woken up from his coma and shown that he had a fighter’s heart. And anyone who summons up that much strength to fight their way back to life has a real chance of survival.
The next challenge was to get the little one to eat. And when he managed that too, his recovery was unstoppable. He made it!
The puppy was given the name „Snuggler“. The animal heroes from Animal Aid Unlimited filmed Snuggler returning to his family.
This time the story has a happy ending, not least because of the intervention of Animal Aid Unlimited’s animal heroes!
