Eden has always been a gentle soul and lived on the streets as a stray for a long time. There she greeted everyone who gave her food with a happy wagging tail.
Now she lives in the veterinary clinic and is waiting for a loving person to give her a home. The dog is so warm and has got into the habit of making a magical gesture to say something very special.
She lived under a tree for weeks
Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy, still doesn’t know why Eden was living under a tree in Southern California.
„She must have been sitting there for weeks,“
says Hall.
Fortunately, people provided her with some food. But no one wanted to take care of the poor dog.
When Hall heard about Eden’s fate, it was clear that she would help her.
Eden sensed that help was on the way
As soon as the dog saw Suzette, she perked up.
„As if she sensed that help was on its way,“
hall suspected.
The first port of call was the vet. Unfortunately, they discovered that the dog was suffering from a painful skin condition and was severely underweight.
Soon after treatment, however, Eden began to blossom. Hall raved about her:
„She’s the cutest, friendliest dog I can imagine.“
She started shaking hands with everyone
Eden was placed in a single kennel to rest and recuperate. At first, she mostly lay curled up on her bed.
But one day it happened: a member of staff at the veterinary clinic walked past Eden’s kennel and saw a single gray and white paw poking through the bars.
The whole team was moved by the tender gesture and also shook her hand. From then on, Eden held out her paw to everyone who visited her.
A new home for the dog
„We are working on finding a loving human friend for Eden. Until then, we are helping her to overcome her nervousness and gain confidence,“
said Hall.
But the animal rescuer is confident:
„Everyone falls in love with her.“
Her cute handshake puts the icing on the cake.
„It’s like she’s saying thank you: thank you for noticing me.„
