Upon discovering Angelo, a Great Dane puppy, roaming the streets, he was virtually a hopeless case. This unfortunate canine was extremely underfed and had lost the ability to stand on his own feet.
However, something extraordinary occurred! A woman, who voluntarily extends her aid to wayward dogs, intervened. Despite the assistance, Angelo’s condition remained critical, requiring significant medical attention.
Angelo Was Teetering on the Brink of Death
The motive behind the Great Dane puppy’s severe lethargy turned out to be the presence of rocks in his belly. Regrettably, Angelo was so undernourished and famished that he resorted to gulp down stones to keep himself alive.
His stomach was brimming with stones, inhibiting him from eating any further or defecating when he was taken to the shelter. This posed a grave risk to his life that demanded immediate surgical intervention. However, even after that, this Great Dane lad’s health couldn’t be assured.
Outstanding Work Done by Furever Rescue Foster
An individual named Hanan from the Furever Rescue Foster association, went all out to ensure Angelo’s survival. The medical operation was pricey and necessitated an intense recovery period afterwards, prompting her to reach out for assistance on social media.
Upon seeing Angelo’s photograph, Justin Finning and his wife Deborah were deeply moved. Regardless of the distance from their home, they overcame all hurdles to provide help.
Destiny Brought Justin, Deborah and Angelo Together
Justin and Deborah weren’t new to rescuing Great Dane dogs.
With over thirty years of experience in saving and fostering disabled Great Danes, they knew they wanted to aid in Angelo’s recovery as soon as they heard about his situation.
The challenge, though, was Angelo’s location – a different country. He was unable to travel until after surgery. Alongside Hanan, they organized a fundraiser to gather the necessary funds for Angelo’s medical treatment.
Beyond the primary surgery, Angelo required physical and hydrotherapy, as well as a specialized diet, all of which came at a significant cost.
Luckily, this compassionate pair managed to accomplish this remarkable mission and gave Angelo the vital assistance he needed.
Following a successful operation, Angelo needed to recover fully before he could fly to his forever home. When that day arrived, Hanan shared on her Facebook:
“Finally, Angelo went home, and he’s delighted and relishing in his life.

A Joyful Boy In His Forever Sanctuary
Justin and Deborah were committed to aiding Angelo’s full recovery. Regular therapy sessions were part of his routine, and after a couple of months, this stunning boy finally achieved his optimum growth.
He has transformed from a timid, quiet boy into an energetic, lively Dane who relishes being the life of the party. He loves to run around in his roomy backyard and even accompanies his family to the beach!
Yet, the best part of his new existence certainly is his new cohabitants. Living with three other dogs, he thoroughly relishes his life. We extend our wishes for a prolonged, joyful life for him, brimming with affection and fresh adventures. He certainly has earned it!
