Like many dogs, the sweet pit bull named Wally was in an animal shelter, but unfortunately many visitors to the shelter kept looking away because he was obviously not a „classic“ dog.
Sadly, Wally had to wait years for a loving home because the adorable pit bull didn’t fit the visitors‘ desired look.
Wally the pit bull had a hard life
After living on the streets for a whole ten years, Wally had many health problems and not only had various illnesses such as a skin infection, he was also blind in one eye.
It was clear to the animal shelter from the outset that Wally would not have an easy time finding a good home.
Despite the fact that Wally is a dog with a charming character, people often decide which animal to adopt based on its appearance.
Wally spent many years at the shelter and the pit bull’s charming personality made him the absolute favorite of the caretakers.
Veterinarian Danielle Gorle reports „Wally just loves to relax and do nothing.“
„He is an absolute bon vivant and would give anything for a treat.“
But unfortunately, despite his loving disposition, the sweet four-legged friend is waiting in vain for a loving home.
After a while, Wally seemed to be declining in health. He was unhappy in his kennel and seemed almost depressed. So he was all the happier when he was finally allowed to leave the kennel and simply let off steam on a walk.
Wally’s suffering has finally come to an end
Wally’s sad story was reported and went viral.
After just one month, the animal shelter announced that the adorable four-legged friend had finally found a loving home.
At last, Wally can enjoy life to the full and leave his hard life behind.
The entire team at the animal shelter is delighted and writes: „He’s just making himself at home now and looks great.“
The fact is, every dog deserves to have a nice home and lead a happy life, no matter what appearance, because after all, it’s the inner values that count.
