Adoption also occurs frequently in the animal kingdom, usually when the parents are unable to care for their offspring.
Another animal then takes in the young as if they were its own.
This is particularly remarkable when it is not the same species, as in this sweet example.
Fatherly feelings win out

The friendly Golden Retriever in question is called Bailey.
He is a real ray of sunshine and is already known for his gentle and loving behaviour towards other creatures.
But of course his owner Taras isn’t sure how Bailey will react to the tiny rabbits when he brings them home.
The young rabbits are so much smaller than Bailey, but as he sees and gets to know them, he remains gentle and loving.
His fatherly feelings take over and he takes touching care of the little long ears.
An incredibly sweet sight

The sight of the little rabbits cuddling up to the big Golden Retriever is almost unbearable, he is so cute.
They hop around him, snuggle up to his soft fur and Bailey seems to enjoy every second of it.
The rabbits are not afraid of the dog at all and behave as if it were the most normal thing in the world to have a big Golden Retriever as a father.
Even the breaks together are spent as a family and everyone sleeps in complete peace.
Sometimes the little animals snuggle together under Bailey’s long fur so that only a small head with two long ears peeks out.
Even as the rabbits grow up, the loving bond with their unusual foster father remains.
