Sometimes life’s paths are literally wonderful. It’s fascinating what can come out of coincidences.
She actually just wanted to pick up her son and found a tiny and helpless creature.
A journey home with a moving find
When Jessica went to pick up her son, she saw something lying in the street .
It was a tiny, hairless baby animal. Flesh-colored, it lay curled up tightly on the cold, hard ground.
Jessica immediately saw that the tiny creature was freezing. She looked around but couldn’t see a mother.
Without further ado, she picked up the baby animal and took it home with her.
Surprise, it’s a Steve
The little creature was kept warm by Jessica, fed and showered with love.
But it was still not clear what species it was. For now, all that mattered was that it survived the first night.
To everyone’s delight, the baby survived the night. A name was quickly found for the baby animal: Steve.
It is a squirrel
Over time, the naked, helpless animal grew and the bigger and hairier it became, the clearer its species became.
It was a squirrel. Jessica nurtured and cared for the little one.
She even took it everywhere with her. The best place for it was a school box, which she padded softly.
Steve is now much bigger and even gets regular visits from the squirrel lady Joline.
Steve and his friends from the neighborhood now go in and out of Jessica’s house as a matter of course and like to take the opportunity to pick up some treats.
