On the way to the bus, Loraine Anne Marie Baguio suddenly feels she is being watched. Looking over her shoulder, she realizes that she is being followed.
A small cat, only a few weeks old, won’t let her go. At the time, Loraine has no idea that this encounter will change her whole life.
The kitten follows her wherever she goes
She assumes that the kitten will let her go as soon as it finds food. However, the unusual pursuit does not stop.
She briefly suspects that the kitten is only going in the same direction as her by chance. As she slows down, however, the little ball of fur catches up with her.
„She was right on my heels the whole time,“
says Loraine.
She takes the little ball of fur home with her
Loraine searches the bushes and the surrounding area for any sign of the mother, but is unsuccessful.
She realizes that the starving ball of fur won’t make it on its own. She doesn’t have the heart to leave the little kitty behind.
She decides to save her life and takes her home with her. Loraine gives her water, food and much-needed rest.
She gives the kitten the creative name Cat and is lucky: the little feline recovers and, to her own surprise, Loraine wants to keep her.
Cat can stay
As a dog lover, the selfless woman can hardly believe her own decision. She officially adopts Cat and gives her a well-deserved home.
„She is very sweet and loving. It’s like we’ve met somewhere before. I realized that she was the one who chose me to be her mother […]“
says Loraine.
