A small Chihuahua escapes injured under a car somewhere in southern California. He has just been attacked by wild animals and must fear for his life.
His escape not only saves him from death, but also gives his life a completely new direction.
From the frying pan into the fire

At first, however, things don’t look good for the Chihuahua.
When Suzette Hall from the animal rescue organization Logan’s Legacy arrives, she finds the little stray badly injured. He has to go to hospital immediately.
At Camino Pet Hospital, the wound can be treated quickly and properly. Unfortunately, as soon as the little guy wakes up from the anesthetic, the next piece of bad news is waiting.

The furry friend has contracted parvovirus. This dangerous viral disease is often fatal in unvaccinated dogs.
The best friend

But the Chihuahua is not thinking of giving up now. That would be even better.
After all, he is a little fighter and won’t let some stupid virus take his life.
However, the fight against the virus is not easy and takes a long time. Niq, as the dog is now called, doesn’t have to fight alone.
His team of friends includes a veterinary technician who works at Camino Pet Hospital and has taken Niq to her heart.
Not a day goes by without her popping in to cheer the Chihuahua up.
A new family

It’s not long before the veterinary technician makes a suggestion. She wants to take Niq home with her for the weekend and look after him there.
However, returning to the hospital proves difficult – not because Niq is unwell, but because his best friend now wants to keep him forever.
The only thing left to do is to formally adopt him and Niq can officially start life with his best friend and her whole family. Another dog is also part of it.

The injury heals completely and Niq has long since decided that he will not be defeated by a virus.
