Puppies born on the street have little chance of survival. The chances of finding food are too slim and the various dangers too great.
Especially in a large litter, the probability is unfortunately high that not all puppies will survive.
Malka is one of nine siblings who grew up without a home. Miraculously, they all survived and are now hoping to find loving families.
This is Malka
Malka is a medium-sized female with a shoulder height of around 50 centimetres and a beautiful grey and white coat.
She is now two years old and is at the beginning of her adult life, having unfortunately not had a good childhood.
Surprisingly, the hard times have left no traces on Malka. She is fit, cheerful and very open towards people.
This sugar-sweet little dog would love to cuddle all the time and be as close as possible to her two-legged friends.
Malka is open-minded and curious towards people, other dogs and her entire environment. She is not afraid to sniff out new things.
She also enjoys playing with other dogs and her carers.
Malka’s story
The nine siblings are the children of a street dog and were born on an abandoned factory site.
With this unsafe place as a nursery, too little food and defenceless against the weather, the puppies had to grow up.
Their mum looked after them as well as she could, and fortunately the dog family received support from animal welfare organisations some time later.
Unfortunately, they were initially only able to help on site as there were no places available in foster homes.
It was only a year after the dog family was found that Malka and her five sisters could be taken into care.
Her three brothers and mum are still living on the factory premises and still have to hope for a foster home.
Malka is looking for her favourite people
All the gorgeous Malka needs to be happy is a large portion of loving care, lots of cuddles and a cosy place to feel at home.
She wants to accompany her humans through thick and thin and be a fully-fledged member of the family.
She doesn’t yet know much about life in the house and dog basics, but will certainly be a good pupil if she is taught patiently, sensitively and with positive reinforcement.
