Joy Dominguez is driving along a country road in Horizon City, Texas. Suddenly she sees a man taking a dog out of the car at the side of the road.
Would he perhaps like to take his four-legged friend for a walk?
No: he has a really bad intention and is carrying it out. What he doesn’t know is that Joy is filming the outrageous scene.
At the scene of the crime
The man takes the dog off the lead. At first, the dog looks at him expectantly and obviously has no idea what is about to happen.
Without paying any further attention to the dog, the man gets into the car and slams the door shut. He takes a seat in the passenger seat.
At least one other person is still in the car. Now the two or more people simply drive off.
The dog desperately runs after the car, but of course that doesn’t change the situation. He was simply left behind as if he were useless rubbish.
24 hours later
As unbelievable as this heartlessness is, the story continues happily for the husky.
Joy Dominguez posted her footage of the unbelievable scene online and it only took 24 hours for the abandoned dog to find a new home.
A girl named Maddie Clappsaddle and her brother see the video.
„When I saw the video and saw him running after the car, my heart felt like it was breaking,“
maddie describes her feelings. Now her home is also the husky’s home. She has given him the name Nanook.
Nanook has also been to the vet. He is healthy and lively.
„Now that he’s running around and happy, I’m very happy and excited,“
says Maddie. Nanook has definitely hit the jackpot with her.
Legal consequences
Nanook’s former owner may also be excited, but he is certainly not happy. His behaviour is not only outrageous, but also punishable by law.
The El Paso sheriff’s office is already looking for him and has even arrested a suspect.
The man could face a fine of up to 4,000 dollars or up to a year in prison.
